Sten has been a SpeakSmart trainer-consultant, moderator and debate club facilitator with small breaks since 2009. He considers logic and argumentation to be the key to any kind of social debate discussion and focuses on these areas in his trainings.

Sten has previously worked as Head of the Employment Department and Deputy Secretary General on Labour and Employment Policy at the Ministry of Social Affairs, as an adviser in the Office of Chancellor of Justice and as a lawyer at the law firm Tark Grunte Sutkiene. Sten has also worked in Pactum AI as Enterprise Program Manager. In the first half of 2017, he did and internship at the European Commission as a member of Andrus Ansip's cabinet. On a day-to-day basis, he works as a member of Tuleva's Management Board.

The trainer was very good, involved the participants, was able to react quickly and reorientate when somebody's attention started to wander or when the exercise/example didn't appeal. For the most part very good examples, good pace. There was plenty of engagement, not offensive (usually one of two extremes in training - either lecture style where there is no engagement at all, or conversely 'engagement' is aggressive or offensive to the participant - there was none of this in this training, plenty of everything). In between you got the theory and then immediately into examples or discussion, very enjoyable. I commend the trainer! I would gladly participate in your training again.
50% of the training was practical. The trainer was friendly, articulate, could give good examples. Everyone had the opportunity to have a say in the training. There was a good balance between theory and practice. The trainer used a variety of learning methods.
The training met all my expectations and more - the trainer had great examples, jokes and teaching words.
